The Department of Public Health in Baylor University’s Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences is currently accepting applications for the position of Department Chair, with an expected Fall 2024 start date.

At the conclusion of the 2023-24 academic year, current Department Chair Eva Doyle, PhD, will return to her position as a Public Health professor after serving as Chair since the Department was formed in 2018. Under Doyle’s leadership, the Department of Public Health launched a PhD program in 2021 and an online MPH program in 2018. In addition to her role as Chair, Doyle leads the Baylor in Brazil study abroad program and serves as the Graduate Program Director for the Department. She has been a Baylor faculty member since 2001.

“We are deeply appreciative of the significant impact Eva’s leadership has made on the Department of Public Health over the last five years,” said Robbins College Dean Jason R. Carter, PhD. “We respect her decision to step down from this administrative role and rejoin the Public Health faculty where she will contribute greatly to departmental teaching, scholarship, and service. Her compassionate spirit, passion for students, and prominence in the field of public health make Eva a valuable member of our Robbins College team.”

Applications for the Department of Public Health Chair position are now being accepted here. Innovative leaders equipped to support a growing department with a mission to advance public health through world-class research, promoting health equity, supporting the well-being of vulnerable and underserved populations in every community, and training the next generation of public health researchers and practitioners are encouraged to apply.
