Request to Change to Health Science Studies (HSS) Major
Requesting to Change to the Health Science Studies (HSS) Major for Current Baylor Students
Students may only change their major to HSS and be admitted into the HSS program during the designated eligibility period. Admission into the program occurs only at the conclusion of a full fall or spring semester, after final grades have posted, through the 5th day of the following term.
Currently, students MAY change to Health Science Studies. Please see detailed eligibility period information below:
May 19, 2026 – August 31, 2026
To change to HSS, current Baylor students must meet the following criteria:
1. Meet minimum GPA requirements for concentration of choice:
| Pre-Medical/Dental | 3.2 cumulative GPA |
| Pre-Physician Assistant | 3.2 cumulative GPA |
| Pre-Physical Therapy | 3.2 cumulative GPA |
| Pre-Occupational Therapy | 3.2 cumulative GPA |
| Pre-Athletic Training | 3.0 cumulative GPA |
| Health Professions | 3.0 cumulative GPA |
2. Be eligible to register for, or have completed, CHE 1301/1101.
3. Make the request during the designated eligibility period mentioned above.
