External Funding
Robbins College provides faculty with tailored, coordinated research and grant support throughout the entire grant lifecycle—partnering with the Robbins College Finance Team and Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR)—making proposal submission and award management as seamless as possible.
Pre-Award Support
Robbins College provides faculty with support throughout the grant development and submission process. Our research team will assist with budget development, document preparation, subaward coordination, monitoring of research training requirements, and institutional routing. We also serve as a liaison between faculty and OVPR to facilitate communication, institutional review, and proposal submission.
All external funding proposals must be initiated through the Robbins College Research Team. Faculty are encouraged to reach out as early as possible when considering an external funding opportunity. OVPR's 30-10-5-3 submission deadlines apply to all external proposals.
For all proposal submissions and pre-award needs, please contact Francheska Garcia (Francheska_Garcia@baylor.edu).
University Submission Deadlines
OVPR has outlined the requirements for the 30-10-5-3 deadlines that must be adhered to for all external grant submissions. If you are working with any subcontracts, please remember the 30-day subaward initialization requirement. If Baylor is a subaward to another primary institution, there is a two-week notice requirement.
Post-Award Support
Post-award support begins as soon as a project is awarded. Once an award is active, you'll be invited to an Robbins College-facilitated kickoff meeting to meet the teams supporting your project. From there, we will assist with labor distribution, funder communication, reporting, award modifications, and any other post-award need you might have. We monitor compliance with university, sponsor, and federal regulations—giving you confidence that your grant is on track and in good standing.
For all award set-ups, modifications, extensions, or other post-award needs, please contact Emily Frueh (Emily_Frueh@baylor.edu).
