Renée Umstattd Meyer Honored as a Fellow in the Society of Behavioral Medicine
Congratulations to Renée Umstattd Meyer, PhD, FAAHB, Senior Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education and Professor of Public Health in Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences, on her election to Fellowship in the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM).
Fellow status is a distinction conferred by SBM on full members of the Society in recognition of outstanding contributions to the advancement of the science and practice of behavioral medicine. In addition, Fellows serve as role models for students and new SBM members, providing guidance and support.
“I am honored to receive this recognition and to join an exceptional community of scholars recognized as Fellows of the Society of Behavioral Medicine,” Umstattd Myer said. “I have greatly valued the opportunity to serve the Society—particularly through my role on the Physical Activity Special Interest Group advisory board over the past two years—and am grateful for this recognition.”
The Society of Behavioral Medicine unites researchers, clinicians, and policymakers to advance healthcare through behavioral science with a goal to enhance patient care, shape policies, and improve health outcomes. Umstattd Meyer was honored alongside other newly elected Fellows during the SBM Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions in April 2026 during the Presidential Keynote and Awards Ceremony.
