Denny B. Kramer, PhD
Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and the Division of Health Professions
In August 2018, Denny Kramer, PhD, was appointed Associate Dean of the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences. Dr. Kramer has 25 years of experience in education, including 22 years of service at Baylor University, having served ten years in the Graduate School as Associate Dean and six years in the Hankamer School of Business as faculty.
During his five years in the Robbins College, Dr. Kramer has consistently established vision and strategic direction for graduate education, providing executive leadership and insights to enhance program quality, increase student enrollment, build new graduate programs, and increase program visibility, including partnerships with the U.S. Military. Dr. Kramer is passionate about advancing the student experience through continuous program improvement and innovation.
Since 2018, graduate enrollment in the Robbins College has increased threefold from 388 students to 1240 in seven academic units, including Communication Sciences and Disorders; Human Sciences and Design; Health, Human Performance, and Recreation; Occupational Therapy; Physical Therapy; Public Health; and Division of Health Professions. While varied in their professional approaches, the programs in Robbins College share a common purpose of improving health, well-being, and quality of life for individuals, families, communities, and environments.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kramer has been an active leader in organization-wide committees focused on analyzing the higher education landscape and creating strategic plans that align with the University’s mission and goals to be the preeminent Christian research university.
Dr. Kramer is a graduate of Baylor and Oklahoma State University. He is also a graduate of the Management Development Program, Harvard Graduate School of Education.
