Nicole McAninch, PhD, CFLE, serves as Interim Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and International Experiences for the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences. In this role she collaborates with the dean on college initiatives and strategic planning, providing administrative leadership and support to advising and faculty, curriculum development, academic operations, and institutional assessment and improvements. She also coordinates programs to support student education, retention, recruitment, and study abroad opportunities in the College.
Dr. McAninch is a Clinical Associate Professor of Child and Family Studies and previously served as the Division Leader for the Child and Family Studies Program and as Associate Chair for the Department of Human Sciences and Design. She earned her PhD in Family Studies at Texas Woman’s University and has taught at Baylor since 2009. Her previous work includes school social work and student career advisement. She engages in scholarship and community practice through the Intentional Family Project, a project she co-leads with Dr. Karen Melton to promote family well-being.
