Scheduling the Advising Appointment
Transfer Students: Transfer advising begins March 17. Your advisor will reach out mid-March to schedule your appointment.
Freshman Students: Freshmen advising begins June 2. Your advisor will reach out late May to schedule your appointment. Freshmen starting in the summer will be advised prior to June 2.
Prior to your advising appointment, we encourage all students to familiarize themselves with the course catalog and our major academic planners so that you can bring any questions you may have to your advising appointment. When scheduling your advising appointment, please make sure that it does not overlap with your in-person Orientation and Baylor Line Camp experience.
Advising Checklist:
- Log in to your GoBaylor account to confirm you major is listed correctly, if not, contact your Admissions Counselor
- Complete the New Student Questionnaire in your GoBaylor account to determine if you are required to take a placement exam.
- ALEKS Placement Exam for Chemistry
- Math Placement Exam
- Modern Language Placement Exam (If interested in taking the American Sign Language Placement exam, please contact Larry Umberger at Larry_Umberger@baylor.edu.)
- Submit all transcripts, Dual Credit, and AP credit.
- Watch the Robbins Advising Video above prior to scheduling your advising appointment. Your Robbins advisor will send an email to your Baylor email account with instructions on scheduling your academic advising appointment and registering for Fall courses.
- Once you have been advised, confirm your attendance in BearWeb, to Baylor University and pay your charges by the required due date so that you are not charged late fees.

- May Minimester (May 19 – June 5)
- Summer 1 (June 9 – July 12)

- Fall Semester (Begins August 25)
